Official SAT Subject Test - Biology E/M - June 2015

@normanxi Yes, you’re right.

@normanxi It’s the one with the endosymbiotic theory.

Is there any chance scores come out before June 25th?

@CGlynn I hope so. I thought it was two weeks so shouldn’t they come out June 20th?

@vmiller7723 25th https://sat.collegeboard.org/scores

Hey guys. I know this is late, but there was a question along the lines of “Which of the following diseases can be determined by a [insert name of procedure]?”

Do you remember the answer? I guessed.

@CollageWhat @vmiller7723 @asiankid88 @CGlynn

@cantfindaname I don’t remember having to know specifics of diseases…I took M, was this general, M, or E?

I don’t really remember, but I took M as well. They weren’t necassarily diseases more like conditions. I remember two choices, anemia and downs syndrome

@CollageWhat ^^^^

I assume the procedure was a karyotype, in which case it would be downs syndrome

@RybkaShredder did you take the test? (i.e. are you saying that karyotype sounds correct to you or are you just extrapolating from what I previously said?

@cantfindaname its downs syndrome

It’s down syndrome for sure. The question asked about karyotype

downs syndrome is the only disease out of the answer choices that had to do with nondisjunction, which is the only defect observable on a karyotype. all of the other diseases/disorders were mutations on chromosomes, not abnormal numbers of chromosomes from failure to separate correctly during meiosis.

Scores coming out in a couple of days! Nervous guys?

@asiankid88 just hoping I got 750+ otherwise I’m retaking

I just want a 700+ but obviously higher is better. I’m not retaking because I’ll forget a lot of the stuff and I’m too lazy to relearn it

@vmiller7723 same! so -8 will still earn you a 750+ yeah? xD

Scores come out in 2 days!! If I don’t get a 750+ I’m retaking the next available date.

@asiankid88 yeah on most tests a raw score 68 is 750 I think. Was this test harder or easier than average?
