The score report lists the test date, so the uni can do the math.
@guy6127 That’s because both the Baron’s and sparknotes’ practice tests are much harder than the real thing. Link to the curve is here: http://www.topcollegeadmit.com/sat_st.html
Please don’t remind me of it. I’ve just dragged myself out of my panic mode, and I’m not looking forward to getting into that mode a second time this week.
Will sparknotes be enough for Descriptive Chem? They say barron’s has extra stuff. Can someone confirm?

I need a lot of help with the lab sections in the Barron’s book; they’re just so difficult to understand. Can somebody explain them to me?
Personally im not going to kill myself over the experiments section i have taken a lot of practice tests and a few leaked tests and most of the time the experiment questions are very easy to logic through. For people who are just beginning to prepare my advice is to take every practice test you can get your hands on. Every single time you get a question wrong make sure you know why and make sure you wont make the same mistake again. I have a quizlet of almost 100 things to make sure i drill in for careless errors.
@dminzi Mind sharing the link please?
Thanks man, hope you score high just for your generosity.
Anyone know how much electrochem is on the test?
Can someone explain Ka and pKa
And is knowing the formula for the pH of a buffer solution necessary?
@SnickerShaker I’m pretty sure pKa = -log Ka
Can someone explain the difference between an observation and a conclusion? Also the difference between a physical change and a chemical change. Thanks.
@picuberoot I’m pretty sure there’s no electrochem on the test, although it is useful to know that zinc is a good reducing agent/it reduces copper.
@YoohooAddict A physical change doesn’t change what the overall substance is, whereas a chemical change results in the formation of a new substance.
Are the Mc-Graw Hill tests easier than the actual SAT or are they good practice because I got a 780 on that test but I scored a 740 on the Barrons test.
@SnickerShaker Yea I figured out by watching a video. Thanks for answering though.
@SnickerShaker everything is easier than the Barron’s tests. I usually score between 720 and 750 on the Barron’s practice tests for Chem, but I got a 790 on the College Board one with lots of time left over (and if I had gone over my answers again, I would have gotten an 800). Barron’s practice tests are extremely difficult compared to the real thing.
Can someone tell me what a 77 score is on the official sat chemistry practice test?
For collegeboard the one in the study guide ^
