On the official one, it’s a 770 (or at least, that’s what it says in the booklet).
Thanks!
Hey guys, I just finished studying for the test tonight. And I’m freaking out… My school offers Honors Chemistry, but it only covered through thermochemistry, or rather my teacher just stopped there… And I used BR to study myself. I started as mid 500 or something, and now I’m getting 650-670, and sometimes low 700. I made lots of stupid mistakes, and I feel like there’s lots of things that I’m not understand well enough, and I just got some of those right by luck… I’m so frustrated now,and I have school’s final coming up, which I haven’t get time to study Any suggestions? I’m redoing the practice tests now since there’re no more available. And I’m hoping to get something like 720-740, do I still have a chance?
@topaz1116 “everything is easier than the Barron’s tests”.
I have scored 780-ish quite consistently on the Baron’s tests, and I got a 690 on the McGrawhill’s diagnostic test…
I think that they’re just hard in different ways.
Just completed a Princeton Review Test. Got 750.
How realistic are they?
I just took my third test and got a raw score of 57.
That’s like 710 ish.
In terms of electrochem you pretty much only see voltaic cell questions and questions asking about which metals would replace which so i would just memorize the functions of anodes and cathodes as well as the activity series. Also Ka is just the equilibrium constant for acid in a solution K= [products]/[reactants] and pKA is just -log (Ka) similar to how pH is -log[H+]
Hey
Could someone explain the Boiling point elevation and Freezing Point Depression problems in Barron’s ? (just the page numbers of the content are fine too)
What kind of questions should we expect on the Classification part…Is there specific stuff that we must know?
Apparently, I just realized that there was a problem with Barron’s 3rd test in the back. For # 57, there are only 4 choices (A, B, C, and D) and the answer is E somehow when there’s no choice E. lmao. This is too funny.
Hey Guys,
I’m going to be taking the chemistry subject test in June as well. Do any of you know where I could find information about laboratory equipment, and what each one does. I know that seems kind of stupid, but those questions always trip me up.
Thanks in advance!
@Mango920452 Same happens to me. Sometimes I don/t even understand what the setup is doing lol.
Anybody know how the McGrawhill test is like compared to the real test?
@YoohooAddict
For 57, the answer choices are under the observations. E is actually there. It’s about the strengths of reducing agents.
@YoohooAddict eh, I was taking a Math 2 practice test the other day, and the answer explanation has the right answer, but the quick overview has the wrong one.
How is the princeton test compared to the real test?
@dubnation Most CCers think it’s pretty accurate. I wouldn’t really know, considering this is my first time taking chemistry.
Are we supposed to learn about Biomolecules?
Ther’s a topic in PR
If I miss school, do you guys think I can finish the Barrons book? I’m on Chapter 3 now. I would essentially have from 6:00 am to 12 Pm which is 18 hours. Do you think it is possible to finish 12 chapters in 18 hours, if I work diligently the whole time???
