Official SAT Subject Test Scores - December 2010

My son got 800 in Math2

World History: 740
Latin: 740
Literature: 660

Gotta say that I am completely satisfied with my scores ^__^

I took Literature just for fun without studying at all and still received 660  Considering the fact that I am an International with ESL I’m perfectly fine with that score…

And as far as WH and Latin are concerned:

I practically memorized the whole World History (except from European History cuz I’ve got that in class) within three weeks (parallel to that I had to write six important exams in school for my Abitur (Final High School examinations)) and took Latin without having repeated any vocabulary, grammatics or translation stuff since 2008.
So therefore there’s no way that I’m not satisfied with these results :]

I sent these scores to all the colleges I am applying to. When they don’t take me because of 660 in Literature or a 740 in WH/Latin they don’t deserve me  :D

There are definitely more important things in life than SATs… gosh how I hate these ^^

seriously disappointed with myself… I got a score considerably lower than the 12 or so practice tests that I took prior to the test

570–US HISTORY

Any ways/suggestions…Should I take the US SAT II again in January?

-Self-Studied
-Any suggestions on which books to use? I had used McGraw Hills…but guess it didn’t really cover the same type of questions on the actual test.

Spanish - 750

Pretty happy, especially considering that it was a little hard. Is there even a thread for Spanish? lol

hardworking, try books made specially for the SAT subject test, like barron’s or princeton review.

My daughter had a
800 Lit
780 French

I’m so proud of her!

740 Math 2
780 World History

I don’t know whether I should happy or sad. I’m very capable of Math, but I learned how to use graph calculator 3 days before the test! World History is pretty good; never studied (or European history, or any other history besides my country’s) this before. Just read Barron’s weeks before the test.

Presidont: Do you think I should retake again in Jan?

710 Lit
600 Spanish
710 US History

im pretty okay with my scores. spanish i dont really mind because i knew i wouldnt do too well, but im glad i got at least a 600. whatever, though, done with SATs forever so i’m good.

hardworking, if you are planning on going inyo history, then yes. otherwise, i just wouldnt send it and if you need subjec tests, take math/lit if you feel comfortable you can do well. . if you are motivated though you could fetake history, if you feel you need it.

French 800
Latin 650
Mathematics Level 2 680

I’m a very disappointed with my latin scores but it’s still good since the latin test is always hard…

Ok, so I got a 790 on Spanish in November. Does this look bad if I’m a native speaker? (Applying to Stanford and Yale). Also, got 790 on math 2, and 710 on US. I’m retaking US in january and I also signed up for literature but I’m scared. Should I try literature to show breadth? I think I’ll get pretty high on US this time since I plan on studying unlike last time. Although I did get a 5 on English Language exam, I hate poetry so it’s a really big gamble…

740 Physics. Didn’t prepare as much as I should have and it’s required for two of my colleges that I’m applying to. So I’m happy with anything >700.

Done with College Board’s SAT!

790 Math II , stupid matrix >.<
730 physics, felt really disappointed about this one… was hoping for anything >750

Haha totally! I didn’t even take the time to try at that Matrix problem…I just skipped it. lol

coefficient matrix? it was just the value of the coefficients but arranged in a matrix… and take the determinant with a calc.

My son’s scores on his first, last and only sitting… Math-L2 800; Bio-M 740.

Study methods…Math: Bought every single review book he could find at Barnes and Noble. On the weekend before the exam, spent a day doing all the problems to build speed. He only focused study time on the type problems he missed on the SAT I Math section. Bio-M: Reviewed for two Sundays prior to the exam. He found no one guide to be materially better or more comprehensive than the others.

Umm, that’s a bit excessive, but it worked, so congratulations to him!

^ Hahaha, I agree. To be honest, the only thing I did prior to the Math II subject test this November was to read through the Math II guide that CC user schoolisfun made, and I got a 790. (I would probably have clinched the 800 if my dad hadn’t come in and scolded me for an hour over something insignificant…)
