Official UChicago Transfer Results

dang sounds like you in prison awordapart

People, post some results. This is an anonymous forum.

I have a question. First, here's what happened.

I checked my credentials online two weeks ago and found out that my high school transcript was still missing. So I e-mailed my admissions counselor (at Chicago) asking how I should resend my transcript. That e-mail never went replied. Also, because when I checked my credentials, the website said (at least I thought they did) that the school will contact me by the end of April to tell me how to resend missing materials. I never got any such e-mail.

So today I just called the Admissions Office and spoke with a lady. She told me (not very nicely) that I was not supposed wait for any e-mail from them and instead I should have sent all missing credentials to the school as soon as possible. I swear to god that's not what the website said. The website definitely said that the school will contact me for any missing credentials and that I was supposed to wait until they contacted me! Am I just imagining this? The page that showed my credentials is no longer available online so I have no way of checking this.

Now I'm just freaking out, wondering if this means anything, for better or worse. I just asked my high school counselor to resend my transcript. I really hope this does not hurt my chance. Does this mean that I am already rejected (or maybe accepted) without them looking at my high school record and they don't wanna bother asking for my transcript? Is this gonna affect their admission decision? :(:(:(:(:(:(

Big mistake. Never email the counselor directly, they never ever respond. You should correspond with the admissions office via this address:

I don't think they would make a decision without something as important as a transcript.

Andre did :)

For me, Andre did not. :(

I can go to Rochester or NYU next year, but it would be really great if I got into Chicago.

what are you guys thinking like a week

Hopefully more. I notified Andre on Saturday that I was recently accepted into a tough summer economics program, but it's probably too late anyway. Justin Schenck replied my question last time even though Andre is my counselor. Maybe I should send him an e-mail...

nuttin doin at this pt i would suspect buddy

just wondering if anyone got letter/email saying that their app is complete... i havent received anything other than immeadiately after I submitted my app... but i havent received anything saying they're missing anything...

anyone else in this situation...

not many rd applicants i see

Good news for the deferred?

sure why not how many of them are out there?

I'm deferred but I've kind of fallen out of love with Chicago; I don't think I'll go even if I get in.

Deferred as well, but Chicago is definitely my first choice.

Caillebotte, perhaps you should consider withdrawing your app before decisions come out and increasing the chances of others like me who still dream of going there (you seem like a strong applicant).

Aren't you set on Cornell? I also applied there. (third choice)

Nomada, I would withdraw, trust me, but my parents don't want me to.

Yeah, I'm probably going to Cornell.

Good luck

why would your parents care if you already know where you are going

I know where I'm going; my parents still want me to keep all options open.

And since they are giving me a sh|tload of money for college, I think it would be in my best interest to at least not withdraw my application.

Yea and theres always that possiblity that he might change his mind about chicago. So, although it sucks, he is keeping all his options open.
