@Lackofsense

What explanation can you offer this loophole being BS? The way I see it UCLA would have efficient means of handling financial aid matters and not update every transfer applicants summary (which is over 13,000 over the past few years) that aren't accepted, not to mention especially calculate it briefly.

This is killing me...I need to know soon. What do you guys think...

Do vegans eat cheese? I've always wondered that.

Real Vegans don't eat any products of animal origin.

But do they have like.. vegan cheese?

yes vegans have cheeese
only problem is it doesnt melt that well

Yes, there are manufacturers of Vegan Cheese, you can just simply Google it. :-0

wow how did this thread get steered into cheese.

back on topic!

CAN ANYONE offer me a good explanation on why seeing your financial aid summary is a bs loophole that doesn't work? The way I see it UCLA would have efficient means of handling financial aid matters and not update every transfer applicants summary (which is over 13,000 over the past few years) that aren't accepted, not to mention especially calculate it briefly.

I wonder if that free government (welfare) cheese is vegan cheese, that doesn't melt very well either.

kidRobot...I actually think it's a valid theory, why would the f/a department waste all that time updating accounts for students who aren't going to be admitted?

Haha okay vegan cheese is disgusting...almost as disgusting as UCLA not releasing the decisions yet....

exactly luvtoolearn !

that's my argument haha. It just gives me a warm feeling in my heart that I can see my summary and those like Lackofsense saying it's just simply a bs loophole that doesn't amount to anything is fine, but I'd just like a little closure and explanation to backup that theory because it makes me uneasy.

It's just a summary and the info is provided by Financial Aid when you submit a FAFSA, so it doesn't seem like they are going out of their way to include that in the URSA, I think that whole theory is bogus. Just my opinion though :)

musiclife: That's what I'm thinking.

They're not really updating fafsa. It was sent to them electronically, so why not just include it in the account. It's the same as giving everyone a UCLA ID. Are they really going out of their way to do that? Think about it, everyone.

Receiving an award letter is a different story.

I have thought about it and it's not the same as giving everyone a UCLA ID. ID's are given to file you with a unique code within the school system, and not just the broad ID number everybody is given out for the UC Applications.

Nobody is even told anywhere that I can find to sign up for an URSA account if you're a perspective student, so how could this feel like some throw in information that doesn't take any work to update?

Timing is also key in this theory, many people begin to have seen their summaries during the 16th. (I imagine between these days until they upload acceptances they work out the cal grant/pell grant award $'s and the provisional contract). For it to just appear randomly literally days before the accepted are due to be released just doesn't feel like a random coincidence.

what ever the truth is we will know by this wed.!

How about the fact that everyone that could see the financial aid summary last year were all accepted? Is this just a coincidence?

Well to play devil's advocate fijee, the sample size couldn't have been over 20 I don't think, plus everyone who posts here has impressive stats and career driven.
