Bowtotheserge: What major? just curious.

Political Science

Whoa this just got serious. I don't think anyone one on this board is qualified enough to make such bold statement as that. There would be less war? Have you seen how violent women could be towards each other when there on their periods? (obvious joke) and to say women have done more then men very very bold statement. I am Not saying that Women have contributed a crap load to this world and I would not say men have contributed more for the betterment of the world it is just a very bold statement.

i think it did just get serious
i was about to break down the assumptions and fallacies in her statement but then more ad homineum would be thrown at me :(

women show more relational aggression. however men are more open to physical violence.

i on the other hand, did take martial arts for 6 years and am not afraid to throw a punch and/or kick to stand my ground. last resort, of course.

I made it up all the way to yellow belt when I was a kid an realized I was never going to be Bruce Lee so I quit.

hahaha. i was going for 2nd degree black belt, but i failed to complete the 540 kick... well, I just stopped.

got several medals to my name, can still flip someone over and got to stick fighting. i think i've learned all i could, haha.

Well I would definitely say you can kick my butt. The only think I can do is the KARATE CHOP!!!!!!!!!!! j/k

so learn to grapple

me? i learned to grapple too.

did this awesome move where i looped my leg around this guy's shoulder, he pinned me down on the ground, and rocked so he rolled over with his back to the floor. hard to explain, but i'll always remember the look on his face. he did not bet on me being that flexible.

a triangle? oma plata? those moves don't require substantial flexibility

not so much a triangle...

lol, at this hour, i have lost my way with words. imagine a questionably sexual position, yet him trying to cut off my air.

oh really....... was this in a real fight

was in practice. my instructor had to look after 6 other pairs of grapplers.

i never actually did tournaments. i did sparring and forms as far as tournaments go.

i'm not going to deny that what we just talked about was totally off topic.

anyway, good luck with UCLA updates, people. I hope some come out over the weekend, but if I remember, they only come out on weekdays...

xleper17 that was totally hot...

Anthropology
3.67
admitted
so so essay

Whats up dannja!! congrats on getting in at UCLA ! the wait continues for berk

I'm a little late to the party, but have you seen a girl fight and compared it to a guy fight? With guys, it ends up being "who's tougher" and once that's figured out, it's over. Girls are out for blood.

Accepted
Major: English
GPA: ~3.9 at the time of application
Essay: I finished them like, 5 minutes before the deadline and started maybe a couple of hours beforehand, so extremely last minute. First one was pretty good, but I had to cut down on the word count. Second one...uh, let's pretend it doesn't exist.

I really only applied to see whether I would get in, so I'm very pleased by this. :D I never would've thought it would be possible for me to have been admitted. No idea which wave I was a part of since I was originally waiting for an email.

Edit: Uh, as for pre-req's, I'm not sure how much of an emphasis was placed on my completing them because it was practically impossible to update my Spring quarter course list by the time of the application update, and I hadn't even taken EWRIT 1A until this quarter. ^^;

Why would you think you would not be accepted with a 3.9? Were you missing prerequisites?
