^^If you got the November email saying you qualified for EA, this one was intended to go to you, whether it arrived safely in your inbox or not. But if you want to call to put your mind at ease in a few hours, I wouldn’t hesitate.

I got the email in November but I couldn’t call today anyways since admissions is closed now. I’ll definitely give them a ring tomorrow though if it’s still not there.

Mich never sent me an EA email in November, but I called them and they said they just never sent it (lazy?). Received the “you’ll be hearing shortly” email today around 2PM EST.

At the latest we EA-ers will hear back next thursday the 23rd. Traditionally they always send it to us on a thursday… so with any luck we could end up hearing this week!

My son who applied EA did not get an email from Michigan today.

I did not get the email but i received the email awhile ago saying i was qualified for EA so yeah im just waiting

My WA also says notified on my 7th semester grades, it’s said this since Nov.1st and I turned in my entire application Sept. 20th.

ok so a lot of people didnt get todays email. maybe they are still sending them out. it takes awhile when they send a lot

maybe the people who got the e-mails today are in the first wave!? I hope so, but i doubt thats how they do it sense i was probably the last person to submit their app and i got the email today.

I think it was a stock email, most likely not in waves related to decisions.

Yes, got the “get ready” email on Monday (yesterday). Son applied middle of October…

Re-reading the “get ready” email, I noticed that it doesn’t actually say that Decisions will be emailed on the 23rd. All it says is that Wolverine Access will available again after December 23rd.

all the “23rd” date means is that all decisions will be out by the 23rd. It does not mean that most decisions will be out by that day. I’m guessing that a bunch of decisions will come out this week.

I called admissions today and I was told that ALL the decisions will be announced on the 23rd. Of course, that’s only what they say. :)

I also called admissions today and was told that they are still deciding when to send the decisions. They’re concerned about the applicants getting the email while they’re in school, so they’re considering waiting for the holiday break. Not sure why the evening or weekend would not work as well.

That really doesn’t make sense. Why don’t they send them in the evening. I don’t understand why getting the decisions during school is a bad thing.

I know that denied students will be upset and accepted students will run around yelling “I’m accepted to UMich!”, but they have already warned students to check their decisions in private.

Yeah, that’s the dumbest rationale I’ve ever heard.

im not sure if any of you have been deferred from a school you were dying to go to before, i know i havnt…but i aslo know how bad my brother felt when he got deferred from a school he thought was his safety and #1 choice. he didnt talk for like 3 days. i would not mind if they waited till next monday simply for that reason…just not all the way till the 23rd-then it ruins christmas for everyone

You’re right, waiting until the 23rd would possibly ruin christmas for the rejected and deferred. I think it would be for everybody’s advantage for them to release the decisions on 20th or before.

Or on the 26th
Hearts will break on the 23rd
