Official Wake Forest Transfer Thread Fall 2013

That horrible moment when CC won’t let you private message because you haven’t posted at least 15 times on the website. That’s so bogus I don’t even have words.

Haha. Gotcha. Opps!

I know, this quota is RIDICULOUS

wait, I just read my supplement to wake, and I sound like the pillsbury dough boy. OY VEY. I hope they love it and dont suffer a diabetic coma from it

hopefully it wasn’t too sweet and fat?

They were very true to character, which is all I can say: I sound like if I go to washington DC and lobby for unicorns and lollipops. I laughed so hard reading my responses because I was so worried they were awful, but they are actually things I say. So, yes, they are high in sugar and all that good stuff-- which makes for the best food possible. I actually just want to know and go to wake so bad oyoyoyoyoyoy.

Well, you can find solace in the fact that one more post and all restrictions are lifted from your account. Haha. Hopefully they see you as happy and bubbly – an optimist of sorts. Just a few more…weeks, months. Ahh.

THERE’S YOUR one more post. to add some lightheartedness to the already jolly comments on le thread

“An applicant for admission who has attended another college must have an overall average of at least C on all college work attempted and must either be a graduate of a standard junior college or furnish a certificate of honorable dismissal stating eligibility in all respects to enter the last college attended.”

I got a C- in calculus which I know really hurts me, but does the above which was taken from Wake’s transfer admissions page refere to you overall acumulative GPA of at least a C/2.0 in ALL of your courses combined, or are they saying that you cannot have anything below a C in your transcript to be considered? I know a C- is really bad, however the rest of my application is really strong, as well as my high school background and activities were also good. I never applied to Wake so it wasn’t like I got rejected initially. I’m applying as a sophomore for the fall and I’m really stressed about this.

Hey- no I think you’re right. I think what that means is that to be considered an as applicant to Wake you must have an overall average of at least a C. I do think somewhere else though it says that individual grades that are a D’s of below do not transfer over, so I’m sure you’ll be fine. I’m sure your application is still going to be considered for admission :)

I don’t think anyone has heard anything from wake at all. Both my friend and I have been looking everywhere and we haven’t found anything. wdoikfnhio. sentiments.

This. Sigh. Blows.

I think this anxiety is manifesting itself in facial imperfections. OOOOOOOOOOHHHHNOOOOOOOO. I just want to go to Wake Forest, love it, do everything, be awesome, have chocolate, then graduate, then go again for grad school or something. is that too much to ask for? I think not.

no work yet guys? :(

I was just on campus yesterday. There is absolutely nothing to do in Winston-Salem, NC. That said, Wake Forest’s campus is f…ing beautiful!

I know. It’s SOOOO beautiful ohmygosh! I mean the fact that the town itself isn’t super lively is fine with me because I live in the city, so I actually want to get away from it all, and I think there’s enough going on around campus that it’s ok that the town isn’t lively- the school more than makes up for it!

I’ve been checking my mailbox like a maniac. I think at this point my key will no longer work because I’ve jammed it in my mailbox so many times this past week. POTATOES. WKEFHOWEHIOWE. those are my current sentiments.

Hi guys! I know this thread has died down a little, which is unfortunate since I literally just found it today. I will be attending Wake as a transfer student this fall. I received my acceptance in a huge black envelope, and the letter was dated May 10th.

My stats for those who are interested:
HS GPA: 3.2
College GPA: 3.7

Didn’t send in test scores - plenty of EC’s, but not a lot of leadership positions.

Best of luck to all of you!! Hopefully you have heard something by now! :)

What school are you transferring from?

University of Kentucky!

Hey… I know I’m like so late on this post but how long did you wait before transferring out of Kentucky??
