Official Wesleyan ED II 2013 Thread

i'm pretty positive you can still get deferred from EDII into regular as well

i'm so sick of waiting already, and its only been about a week hahah

ed2 at wes is accept/reject/waitlist. no more deferring, thank god.

I have a question about semester grades. Basically my grades for the first quarter were better than they've been for the rest of high school (except for one fluke, a C+ in calculus which was my first C ever). I applied ED I and got deferred -- obviously in the letter they said to work really hard for the rest of the semester, but also a friend of mine who has connections at the admissions office asked about me and they said that they'd REALLY be focusing on my semester grades for the second round.

So my question is, do you think this means they want to see me maintain the better grades or keep on improving? I haven't gotten all my grades back yet but so far it looks like I'll have the same grades as the first quarter in 3 classes and one-notch better in 3 classes, which includes getting out of the C-range in Calculus. Do you think this is enough to make a difference?

hey hey! I have a couple questions.. does anyone know if there's a more definitive notification date than before feb 15? and are we notified solely by mail or will it be up online as well? thanks!

and gem, I don't think I'd know very well, but if they're giving you another chance based on these grades and are expecting you to work hard this semester, I'm sure they'd like to see an improvement but as long as you're out of the C range in calc and not doing any worse in any area, it can't hurt, and could definitely make a difference.

Hey!! I applied ED II to Wes too. I think we here this friday and financial aid is the 15th. And I’m pretty sure it’s online. If you get rejected you don’t get a letter by mail it’s only online but if you get in you get a letter:) GOOD LUCK!
