Nothing in the mail in E. Mass today...

AndyG - would you get the mail 1 day or 2 days after it is sent from Williams? Or does that depend on whether it is sent priority or first class?

According to the USPS and a kid I know there, usually 2 days via First Class. So, if a letter went out yesterday, I would expect it here tomorrow.

Williams admissions says the letters were mailed yesterday. My daughter is awaiting her letter, too, so we feel your pain!

Mine should be coming tomorrow too. Wow, it's amazing how quickly all of this is happening. Now I just need to find a way to leave school at 12:30 or so.. to make sure that I get the mail ASAP! :) I'll be sure to post the results. But.. if I get deferred or rejected, don't expect to see me posting on this board for a while after that. Good luck to everyone else.

smom, how do you know this? Did you call today?

isn't the mail priority? i remembery someone saying that

i called the office today and they said letters were mailed monday

man....I called the office at around 10am monday. They said that the stuff would be mailed out BY the 15th. I know that probably meant that it would be mailed out prior to the 15th, but not later that day... I wished the admission officer just told me it would be mailed out later that day.

ok sorry for the complaining i'm just high strung over my impending response

it helps a little to see that everyone is as anxious as i am (but, i couldn't tell you why)...although, i will probably get my letter after most of you guys since i live half way across the country! ah, snail mail!

whoever gets their decision first, please tell us your decision (obviously! :-D), the postmark date, what type of mail (i.e. first class, priority) and where you are located.

Thanks! And one final GOOD LUCK!

I love how we can all be nervous together here! It's sad when some us are deferred and rejected cause I know at least for me that means I'll probably quit coming to the Williams forum. It's sad how something you've been kind fo crazy about can reject you... Gosh, I'm nervous and ansy. I can't wait to open the letter and yet I dread that it may say what I don't want to hear.

Where are you from mhination? I'm from Minnesota and it sounds like you must be somewhere in the mid part of the country..

As has been said, Good luck to all!!!!!!!

Leonesa, I'm from Tennessee. I am guessing that I will get my letter on Thursday (maybe Friday), assuming that they were actually mailed on Monday. We'll see. As for now, I am just keeping my fingers crossed!

I live in CA and expect it on Thursday--thats what the USPS website predicts. Why do you expect it to take so long?

GOOD LUCK!!!

hey do you guys know what method they are sending the letters by? priority? first class? how long do u think it takes to south florida?

I am assuming they are sending it first class. It will probably take you 3 days or less to reach south florida because the USPS website predicts it will take 3 days to go from Williamstown to LA, California.

oh ok.. hopefully we can hear good news tomorrow thanks for the info, oh and also can anybody confirm that only 4 internationals were accepted ED last year? do you expect that to be the case this year as well? (i live in florida but applied as international from Colombia/not a us resident or citizen) thanks..

hahaha loco 1010, I feel your pain.... i am still kinda sad that we are held to a different standard (although we had exactly same education just like our American peers), but Williams is still one of the most generous college as far as admitting international students is concerned.. O well, if i don't get in to Williams, its UT-Ausitn's gain hahaha.

Thanx mellowjellow, i am sure you'll get in... looking forward to meeting you in fall 2005
