Official World Cup Game Discussion Thread

Not neccesarily. He may be the culprit, but Brazil just didn’t play well in the second half even before the red card.

Germany beats Argentina.

Yeah, they were already trailing 2-1.

I’m thinking Germany vs Netherlands for the final.

It was Felipe Melo’s own goal. And he was the closest person to Sneijder on the 2nd goal, though it would tough to blame him.

now all i can hope for is that germany wins argentina… hopefully with messi making no goals and özil making at least one…

i’ll kill myself if maradona wins this cup

it was dunga’s fault for letting that idiot felipe mello play, ramires’ fault for having been expelled the last game, that ivory coast player’s fault for screwing up elano’s leg, and everyone else’s fault for giving up in the second half

^You forgot the other guy (Bastos?) who almost got a second yellow.

“messi making no goals”
He may not be scoring, but football is a team game, and he certainly has been playing well.

I know, he’s a great player, but i absolutely despise him… I know he’ll play well, as he always does, but i would loooove if he didnt score =P

I suppose michel bastos could have done better (like every one in the 2 half), but so could kak

I can’t believe Brazil lost yet again Portugal lost to Spain. Sucks! I really want Argentina to win!!

Ghana is gonna do it! Yeah! They’re dominating

Btw: You can tell when a soccer player is faking an injury when they’re rolling around on the ground. That last fall was so embellished! (That last guy however who missed the headbutt… ouch)

GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAL! WOW! They’re really in control of this game!

That was a great goal by Muntari!!!

Looks like Uruguay has fallen apart in the last part of the first half

Ghana is most likely winning this. Would be great to see an African team go far. Afterall, I am part African. ;)

This is great for Africa. The whole continent is supporting Ghana (which is unbelievable in and of itself) You can just feel the energy in the stadium. Whenever Ghana even touches the ball the crowd goes wild!

It’s not really unbelievable. Africa is perhaps the only continent where there’s a collective sense of togetherness. Africa probably would have supported any other African team that had gotten through, not just Ghana. Every African I know has supported Ghana and other African teams, regardless of where they’re from, but I agree that Ghana’s success in the tournament is great for Africa

I’m speaking from the standpoint that the not all the nations get along as well as they should. I exaggerated if anything. It’s still a beautiful thing that they can stand by each other like that.

I can tell you the US wouldn’t (and didn’t) rally behind Mexico or anything :p

I like this ref. Guy keeps tellin these fakers to stand up and suck it up. Good for him. Haha

I get the impression that most of the latin american countries rally around argentina

Ghana needs to win!!!

Go African ppl!!! shalalalalalallalalalaa rolls tongue and makes clicking sounds

hahaha my dad is from Morocco and he rooted for Ghana when they played the U.S.

Nice shot by Forlan

Not very well done by the keeper
