I don’t think they’ll rip them apart. That last PK was a cold way to crush Ghana.

The ref made the right call on the 1st PK. Tried to prevent the goal, got a red card. It did not cross the line.

iLOVE SUAREZ.

so would uruguay call it the “hand of God”…too bad for the forward of uruguay…he won’t play the next game.

Suarez needs a statue of him in that handball pose. Smartest red card ever.

It was handball or lose. I think it was worth it. He’s a GOD in Uruguay now.

^I think that it was beneficial as well.

I feel somewhat sympathetic for Ghana though.

Nooooooo ghana lost :(

Ref made the standard call. Intentionally tried to prevent the goal by use of hand, red card. Ball did not cross the line.

Definitely, Penalty Kicks are a tough way to go out!

The blame is on the player that missed the PK during extra time he is a professional and he had to score.

Wait, you guys / gals have to study!

God that last corner kick was probably the most dramatic one so far! I think there were 3 shots on goal?

Then the poor guy missed the PK. Really sad Ghana didn’t win =/

It was an amazing game though, especially the last 10 minutes. I can’t remember the last time I was that tense

I am dumbfounded.

But on the other hand, it does show that Ghana needs much more experience. The two shots missed were executed very badly.

The handball play was crazy, I went insane. My power went out after the first penalty kick, I was like -.- ■■■.

I don’t know how anybody can be proud of what Suarez did. I’d be ashamed if that was my team. What a dirty win. Penalty kicks aren’t definite. That goal that Ghana was about to make was. And then it got stopped by a handball. Disgusting.

They’re the youngest team in the World Cup. I thought their inexperience would have shown in some of their previous games. On the other hand, they might be the best young team in the world cup considering that they won the U-20 Cup.

I completely agree, but I doubt that any other team would have done any different.

Read the 4th paragraph lol.

I’M SO SAD FOR AFRICA ;(

I hope the Netherlands (who I rooted for) crush Uruguay. >:(

Same here. Great, crazy game! Ghana did have some missed opportunities though that gave Uruguay more life. Team Ghana and its fans should be proud that they made it this far. I enjoyed watching them play. They’ll be back in 2014, maybe stronger than ever. :)

Now, may the Netherlands own Uruguay next week! :)

You do what you must to win. Ghana spends their time diving on a level that rivals the Italians. They did in this game as well. Just as dirty.

The ref couldn’t have allowed the goal even if he wanted to. He did what was in the framework of the rules. It never crossed the line either.

^^If they can beat Brazil, they should be enabled to beat Uruguay.
