<p>Nothing to officially add yet as I'm still waiting for my decision. But, I just wanted to say that this is a great idea, Enc. </p>
<p>I think we should also find some way of keeping in contact - maybe put out an e-mail roster or something, although I don't know how we'd get around CC's rules to do so. You all are such an intelligent, supportive, genuinely nice group and I've loved getting to know everyone over this past year. (Remember when April seemed so, so far away? It's really gone fast!) I want to keep in touch and certainly look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things that will come everyones way in the future.</p>

<p>And then after people ask about our random network, it'll come out that we were all CC nerds last year... And then... And then... And I can't come up with anything else to say because CC rocks!</p>
<p>Ahhh, a facebook group! See, enco? That's why you're going to Yale ;) I wholeheartedly agree though: we need to keep in contact. I've had way too much fun with you guys to never meet you and get to be friends in real time as well.</p>
<p>What's so great is looking at the list of schools the Princeton board peoplez will be attending. We have some pretty smart folk 'round'n these parts!</p>
<p>Deferred/Waitlisted. Possibly the most painful combination ever.</p>

<p>Deferred/Rejected</p>
<p>This whole college thing has been such a huge disappointment and disaster...years of dreams -- down the toilet. </p>
<p>Final results: waitlisted at Harvard, Columbia, Cornell; rejected at Princeton (<em>tear</em>) and Yale...accepted at NYU, Tufts, TCNJ.</p>
<p>SAT's 1530, 800/770/760, 13 AP's, straight A's, strong leadership positions in many EC's I'm passionate about and devoted to...300+ hrs of comm service, great recs and essays, applied for dozens of scholarships (and won $6000 so far, mind you)...what happened? I can understand not getting into HYP...but not even Cornell CAS? I've done everything I could in high school. I can say honestly that I have no regrets! </p>
<p>But I won't complain too much...I've seen too many CCer's in the same position and worse. It annoys me how the same people seem to get into all the Ivies they apply to (though I realize that's not anyone's fault...they all deserved it). But still...it just strikes me as unfair. I've met (in person and online) too many ppl who just say "Yay! I got into Yale! Who cares about the other schools I got into? (Harvard/Princeton/Columbia/ Penn)...and my reaction is just "grr....I'm happy you got into your first choice, but why did the other acceptances have to go to you too? I could've used one..." </p>
<p>This is just very bad luck...after all, if I could get waitlisted by Harvard, I feel that I could've qualified for Columbia or Cornell, too, but I suppose they already filled up the class with enough ppl of "my type" (well rounded, not particularly excellent in any one area)...
Ugh -- totally shafted. I have classmates with similar stats and activities got into places like Yale and Harvard early. </p>
<p>Well anyway, I'll stop ranting: this is probably my last post on the Princeton board...I'll probably end up at TCNJ (a great school, but I'm sacrificing prestige, no doubt...) and have to pass Pton on my way there and back. (The school also bears an uncanny resemblance to Pton). I'm waiting on NYU and Tufts' finaid offers right now...</p>
<p>It's time to create a new dream. </p>
<p>So congrats for the last time to those who got into a top choice school. </p>

truly. i really hate the admissions game too. it really is just a nasty game.</p>
<p>Phantom, terribly sorry. You are definitely qualified enough to have succeeded at any of those schools. Sometimes it is nothing more than bad luck. Good luck where ever you decide to attend!</p>
