Everyone here has a life (I sincerely hope) - but that's a stupid excuse. If you're reading the end of something and you think some things are unanswered, you should read the rest of the thread first. That's good form. I hope you don't use the "I have a life" excuse in class, or at work, or anywhere else. It's lame.

And I am hardly the p.c. police - just because you, Corroborator, decided to be a jerk and I called you on it. Grow up.

Hey, even if it doesn't work out and you don't get your grades changed, what's the worst that can happen? You won't get into an ivy? You won't get into a top 25 school? So what? There are tons and tons and tons of stories about superacheivers (like yourself) who ended up going to "Podunk U" and still end up in fabulous, successful careers. Articles in every major newspaper and magazine have told us time and again that in the end, where you go to college DOES NOT MATTER THAT MUCH. If you have fabulous grades, work hard, and are smart (as you have shown yourself to be through your posts here) then going to an "inferior college" won't hurt you. It's your drive that counts. This website is stuffed full with people who believe otherwise, who believe that having to attend a public university or even one that's not top ranked puts you down there with the janitors and lunch ladies, but thats not true. It's just not realistic. So relax! Enjoy New York (if you haven't gone yet), and focus on the positives, such as winning that award! In the entire scheme of your life, the 75+ years you have on this planet, a C- is Not That Important.

Hey, I just want to thank everyone for the advice. I hope I didn't give off the impression of being a typical, shallow CC'er. I have no interest in attending a school for it's Ivy League status or whatever. However, I do want to go into the incredibly risky business of film, and would like to attend a good film school since the profession of my choice is so hard to break into. Any good film school worth its salt is extremely hard to get into, which is why my academics worry me so much.
