On my fafsa, I put 100k as MY income, and again also for my parents. I thought that that slot was also for my parents!. My EFC was 99999. When I decided to check today (kinda late right?) I noticed it, and reviewed my SAR. I actually do not have ANY income at all, so I quickly changed it today to 0, making my EFC to about 24k. Would this affect my financial aid packages, since its so late? What are possible steps I can take?

sucks for you.

How long ago did you submit your FAFSA the first time?

What schools did you apply to?

Thank you for your reply!
The first time I submitted my FAFSA was in mid-January.
I applied to:
Boston University
Boston College
SUNY Stony Brook
SUNY Binghamton
Carnegie Mellon
University of Michigan
UC Berkeley
University of Rochester
Im banging my head right now because I was careless. Is there anything I can do?

I would send each FA office an email as a heads up.

Thats a good idea! I will do that.
Do you think there will be any penalty, as in less financial aid, or none at all, because college acceptances are circulating already? It does seem like a big difference, from an EFC of 99999 to 24000. Is it possible that they will just disregard my corrections?
