Oh NOOO need advice

I just took a released practice SAT (online prac. test no.6) and scored only a 2070!

CR: 670
Math: 650
Writing: 750

What do you suggest for me to raise my score? I've been doing practice sections for about 5-6 weeks now. Should I just do a lot more math and CR until test day? Any tips or strategies from you high scorers?

BTW, I had 740 on the CR on a test I took in sophomore year. Why is my score going so low now? Is it because I haven't read much in the past year since my six month internship to DC and college apps and SAT practice is taking so much time perhaps? I know reading is supposed to help alot, but I know I can't stuff that much reading in a little over a week.

What do you guys suggest to improve math score in a week or so? I did 5 complete math tests in the BB but can't get past that mid 600 range!

Help please!

Actually, 660 on math, but like that matters.

Any help?

I would just keep doing practice math tests. Try to become familiar with the concepts they test and the way you can solve the problems. I just did practice sections and checked myself. My score went from a 630 to a 710. As far as CR goes, a 740 is a good score. I dont know why you aren't scoring as high, but colleges will see the 740 (I think).

No, I think the OP means the 740 was on a practice test? Maybe?

I got a 740 on the real SAT, yes, but that was in sophomore year, two years ago. I was hoping to score a bit better, like above 750 since I've practiced a tiny bit, but guess not then. I just hope the math isn't too hard in Dec because I really need at least a 660 to get at least 1400 composite, but aiming for 1450.

For math, you've got to stay focused and relaxed.

You have to be very meticulous.

Just make sure you go over everything.

And don't freak out.

I agree. Being "very meticulous" is extremely important. Whenever I get something wrong, its usually some small stupid mistake, unless its one of those hard problems that I can't do at the end.

Yeah, and college board tries to trick you on the math section especially. The last four or so problems in a section can be very tricky. If you get the answer fast, you probably chose the distraction answer. ManUtd20Ole is right. You have to be efficient and quick but very careful. Also, it isn't a good idea to freak out. Just be relaxed.
