Ohio State and the dreaded second review

This may sound like a chance me thread but its more an information requesting thread, i recieved a letter from OSU stating that I was up for second review, my gpa is bad 3.2 weighted however i have taken 5 AP classes one of which sophmore year, and all honors, along with much much volunteer work, so what does a second review actually mean and does anyone know how much of a good or bad thing that is? Im also an out of state.. MD doing MCROTC at The Citadel if I dont get accepted, been defered from penn and u pitt

The average acceptance rate GPA from our top-rated school is 3.42. I did notice someone with a 3.0 GPA acceptance, but they had a 2200 on the SAT. You must have something that caught their interest! It's actually easier to get sophomore year, as a transfer student.

thanks toledo thats somewhat of a relief, but only if I knew! but do you know anything about the second review?? Do most people get in with the second review? And I wish i could do sophmore year, but its really hard to get a scholarship change with the marines, they usually want you to stick with your school.

Never heard of a second review! Go to the alphabetical listing of colleges on the main page of discussions. Find OSU and post your question there. Someone should know.

great thank you so much toledo!
