I’m from Ohio and got a letter today stating that I received the Maximus scholarship, but it did not include a full financial aid description - just that I got that scholarship and I’ll hear more later.
My son just got the same letter (Maximus and National Buckeye (OOS scholarship) for $16.5 total
For those receiving National Buckeye and Maximus, are these scholarships showing up in the portal? If so… where?
Or only in physical letters in your mail box?
Physical letters in mail box. I had her get me into her portal to check and I don’t see anything there.
There’s still nothing listed in my portal for financial aid either, just the physical letter.
Agree, we received the scholarship information in a mailed letter, but the financial aid section in our portal doesn’t show anything yet.
Daughter received National Buckeye Scholarship, and we thought it was included with welcome letter to College of Engineering.
Son just received welcome letter to School of Business. No mention of scholarships, ans Im pretty sure he qualified? For those receiving National Buckeye Scholarship, are they in separate letters?
My daughter was accepted into Biological Sciences. The only notification of the scholarships was from the physical letter she received yesterday.
D23 received her Maximus and Buckeye scholarship award letter back in December but it did not appear in F/A right away (but is there now!). Her welcome letter from her school came separately.
OOS JUST received National Buckeye (13,500) and maximus (3,000). Very happy!
DS Got letter today for Maximus and National Buckeye
Would you mind sharing stats? My daughter is also OOS. Thanks!
Would you mind sharing stats? My child is also OOS. Thanks!

Do we think that buckeye scholarships are rolling as well. I’m assuming they are not all out.
They typically roll out over the first few weeks of February. In years past, it seems that they go out in waves according to merit levels.
So it appears that most are getting the buckeye and the Maximus together. Is that what you mean by merit level? Those that just get buckeye without Maximus prob have not rolled out yet?
Yes, that’s what I meant. When my oldest daughter was accepted in 2018, she received the National Buckeye and Maximus together. That was back when admissions were on a rolling basis…admission notices went out every two weeks starting in November. Back then, the merit award qualifications were posted online, so you had a much better idea of your child’s chances for qualifying. Things are so different now. When my son was admitted two years ago, it seemed that they started with the highest merit levels first, then went down in merit levels from there. Pretty much the entire month of February, we held out hope that something would come in the mail, but it never did. Due to a record number of applications that year, my son did not receive a scholarship even though he met the previous years’ qualifications for being awarded merit. As an OOS student, he ended up going to a different school which ended up being a good fit for him. Now we are on potential Buckeye #3, anxiously awaiting the mail again and hoping for the best.
Seems like we are in the same position. Best of luck to the both of us… Hoping for the buckeye. Was a little discouraged when I saw that people were getting theirs in the mail but now I feel better knowing they are combined with the Maximus. Thanks for the info.
