Ohio State University Early Action For Fall 2023 Admission

We have “FAFSA received 11/29” and all the boxes are filled out with a cost of attendance. Interesting…

I see what you see with exactly the same date received 11/29/22

I also have a couple of other factors that may go into ECA so that could be why

This is what I am seeing as well. 12/6 fafsa received and my EFC. COA is ‘to be determined’

Same here!

Is it possible it means anything?

I have no clue, but anything that gives us hope is a good thing right about now. lol

Probably not a sign of anything. Was hoping it meant we were in first decision group, but I’m grasping at straws :joy:

We have the same. 11/29 received date and all boxes filled out.

Apparently our fafsa was not submitted correctly :woman_facepalming:t2:

Filling FAFSA out what not required, correct?

You do not have to submit FAFSA. However, to be eligible for merit scholarships and other forms of aid many universities require FAFSA on file before certain deadlines.

cool. does your Estimated Cost of Attendance box have an amount? Ours says TBD. Thx

We did file FAFSA, so I’m guessing we won’t be hearing tomorrow.

We did file FAFSA and there is an amount in the Estimated Cost of Attendance box. Not sure if this means anything regarding decision release date.

Will there be an email or do we need to keep checking portal?

Just spoke with admissions. Decisions will post in waves throughout the day. FAFSA is not required unless you want Grants from Government. Not tied to merit scholarships in any way.

I checked last year’s thread and it looks like the December decisions came out on the portal first, and then emails were sent out in the next day or so. Decisions on the portal were posted at different times throughout the day. Try not to drive yourself crazy constantly refreshing, though!
