But I'm a sophomore taking both the ACT and SAT.

I personally don't think it's all that unusual.

Not that I care what other people in my school think, but is it that unusual for a sophomore to take it?

Not that I care what other people in my school think, but is it that unusual for a sophomore to take it?

Nope, I wish I had started on these things sooner than I had. Kudos to you.

However, I don’t find it unusual that someone would find that unusual.

not really unusual. I agree with Veracity. I wish I had the chance to do my SAT (not ACT) sophomore year so I don’t have to cram for this right now.

I know how you feel. I decided to take my first SAT during the December of my junior year and everyone thought I was crazy. It’s alright; go ahead and prepare early, the efforts do pay off in the end.

Well, with the new score choice, it shouldn’t matter as much as it used to. its good to take as much chance as you can i guess. But i wouldnt OD on the SATs if i were you… just saying. take it as a practice, obviously. and you can always cancel it if u dont think u did so well.

People think that’s weird? The high school I took my SATs at had rooms set specifically for 8th Graders and Freshmen taking the SATs.

omg, this soph in stuyvesant got a freaken 2360 on the october SAT 09. i wanna kill him.

^ that’s not surprising. I know many Stuy/BronxSci freshman-sophomores like that.

Nope, I’m taking both of them too. But then again I’m a junior…The advantage though is that you have an early preparation. I wish I prepared in my sophomore year so that I’m not cramming now. ACT in April and SAT and APs in May, fun…

I think it makes since now that score choice exists and the vast majority of schools accept it. But I took the SAT in 6th grade and 8th grade, and then waited until 11th grade to take it for real (twice). Pre-score choice, I think it may have been a bad idea to take the test. I mean, my Soph PSAT (absolutely no studying) was only 207. If I had studied, it might have been, eh, 10-15 points higher, but I wouldn’t want an SAT score like that on my record.

Take it every time if you want; as someone pointed out the new score choice is going to help you a lot!!

Just follow your own schedule
Never mind what other says to you
I don’t think you’re a crazy person, instead I thought you’re a thoughtful person
It’s a great thing, isn’t it?
So keep going on what you’re planning to do!
Wish you pass the test^^

I wonder what ur friends would think of me

Number of times taken SAT: 3 (about to be 4 in a few days)
Numbr of times taken ACT: 6 (about to be 7 in a month)

lol

depends how old you are…?
if ur a junior, then… um… okay…
but if ur a soph or younger…
U HIGH^?

Your grammar is terrible^ you high?
I’m taking my first SAT as a sophomore on 3/13. I wish I could take the ACT too, because I’ve heard it’s easier.

I took both. A lot of people take both. Don’t worry.

I did better on the SAT, but a lot of people report the opposite.

I got a 2200 as a frosh superscored (took twice)

Eh, I wouldn’t consider taking it too many times though. Both tests cost $40 each! But if you’re rich i guess it’s fine. o.o

yeah the ACT no writing WAS $32. Then my mom didn’t pay by the late fee. So $53!. SAT is $45… so A total of $98.

Any good books I could use?
