Old Nick Thread

I was just searching around and found this on the old forums.... I thought it would be great to bring back this thread... so nostalgic

http://www.collegeconfidential.com/cgi-bin/discus/show.cgi?68281/73043

sniff childhood nostalgia...what channel did Cow and Chicken come on?? sniff old summers by the lake...uh oh..

ah... I loved Are You Afraid of the Dark? The show went downhill though when they tried bringing it back with new storytellers and stories a while after they originally stopped the show. They should have just stuck with the reruns. Prolly the one episode that scared me the most on that show was the pool episode from the original show. Ahh... Good memories!!!

Other favorites...
Salute Your Shorts (Zeek the Plumber.... LOL!!!)
Legends of the Hidden Temple
The Secret World of Alex Mack
Double Dare
the original Wild and Crazy Kids

Oh, I miss Stick Stickly!!!! I forgot about him! That was a good thread to bring back here. Brought back shows from way back in the archives of my memory....

I also liked the old Nick Jr I would watch when I was little. Do you guys remember David the Gnome and Maya the Bee and the all the other good kiddie shows ? ;]

Pete and Pete-- a breeding ground for good music (Polaris sang there theme song and appeared on the show a handful of times). In general though, Nickelodeon has some ability to produce good music talents (A kid from Salute Your Shorts went on to play with Cursive, Pete and Pete had Polaris, Steve from Blues Clues is now a singer that tours/performs/works with the Flaming Lips, etc.)

ROCKO's MODERN LIFE!!!!

rocko's modern life rocks my socks. looking back on it now it seems way to risque for nick to have put on the air. most of the humor goes right over the heads of nick's present target audience. i guess they were cooler then. =/ classic hey arnold was good too. but the best was

ANGRY BEAVERS!!!!1111oneoneomgomomglol

The Pete and Pete episode where they tried to prove the kid was an alien and then he really was.... was my favorite. And the pinball episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark. And the time they snuck out of camp on Salute Your Shorts to go to the burger place always made me REALLY hungry for a burger. Mmmm.

I used to love

-Legend of the Hidden temple
-Pete and pete
-Kenan and Kel

hehehe kel and his orange soda

My thread has been reincarnated!

Anyway, I'm not sure if anyone realizes this, but it's been announced that Nickelodeon is making a DVD "Rewind Collection" that will include the old shows. So far it's been announced that Clarissa and Pete and Pete (1st seasons) will be out on dvd on May 17th. This was announced around 2 weeks ago, and hopefully more announcements will come later. I'm personally hoping for Salute Your Shorts, Rocko, All That, and Kenan and Kel.

see, i cant remember right.....werent keenan and kel also on all that? well w/e, it was all about the orange soda.

Ah, Clarissa Explains it All! :D

This makes me cry.
-The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo
-Global Guts
-Hey dude
-The tommorow people
-What would you do?
-Old school rugrats
-Gullah Gullah Island
-The busy world of Richard Scaary
-Dora the Explora' : )

These shows owned me...

David the Gnome. I loved David the Gnome.

I remember when they wanted kids to send rubber bands to stick stickley, so I put 100 rubber bands in an envelope. But they sent them back to me because I didn't have enough postage, I was mad.

Some of the forums off of IMDB have links to download sites for these shows. That's where I downloaded the Kenen and Kel episode where they file a lawsuit against a tuna company.
