At CW2, I am pretty sure Emily said at the end of the last full week of March. She was pretty comical when she said it.
At CW3, the Dean said that decisions would be released in late March. She doesn’t know when exactly, but an email will be sent out when decisions are available. She gave a great presentation and had everyone laughing when she told us.
I’m actually obsessed with the dean. You know the school must be awesome when the dean of admissions is as funny as Tina Fey!
Emily had large shoes to fill. Charlie Nolan, the first Dean of Admissions, was a total class act and his retirement was a big loss for the school, but he’s still around helping the school with recruiting and other duties. Emily has done a great job by putting her own imprint on the office.
Olin’s Flickr has photos from CW. The album title has Weekend 3, but I found pictures of my D who was CW2, so maybe all three weekends are included. Since I couldn’t accompany her, it was a great way to get a peek into all the fun.

I think it might be just CW2 and CW3 on the album. My CW2 candidate is there, but not my CW1 student volunteer.
Does anyone know more specifically when the decisions are coming out? The portal says around the last weekend of March.
I called Olin last week to inquire about what day admissions decisions will be released. I was told by an admissions person “I believe the portal will go live around the 25th”. Let’s hope the phrase “around the 25th” means by the 25th at the latest!

I am excited for those who received good news yesterday and plan to attend Olin. I wish the school/experience could be cloned many folds so that many many more students could benefit from a second to none undergraduate engineering education. DD is very close to making a decision, I am hoping it is Olin.
Does Olin have a Facebook group for the class of 2020?
Yes!! It’s “Olin College Admitted Students” and Emily Petersell just sent out an email asking people to join it!! Can’t wait to meet everyone!!
