OMG: SAT II Biology Registration Mistake

I signed up to take the June SAT II Biology (with Molecular emphasis). Today, I checked to see the status of the test, and it appears that the test I registered for (by filling in the bubbles on testing day) was the Ecological emphasis. The reason I know this is because it appears the registration changed from "with Molecular emphasis"...to..."with Ecological emphasis." Should I call college board?

If you filled in the answers for the molecular section, but bubbled in the choice of the ecological section, then yes, you should call them immediately. This could put your score in serious jeopardy.

General Rak, can you check if your registration on CB says "w/ Ecological emphasis." I feel like its just a registration glitch that occurs after you've taken the test.

It could be a registration glitch, in which case you could call in and get it cleared up quickly. If it's not, then you should call in and see what their policy is on this.

In any case, I did not take the SAT II bio exam this year (I took it last June). And it does say SAT II bio with molecular focus.

Can anybody who took the SAT biology in June check to see what their registration status is?

can anybody check? Please.!!!

bump...i'm freaking out over here!

again:

Problem: I registered for the Biology-M at the test center but my registration ticket reads Biology E.

What you can do: Check your CB registration if you took Biology-M and tell me what it reads.

Thanks

I took the June Bio-M and my ticket reads Bio-M. Do you remember which bubbles you used to indicate the test code for E/M? (The ones on the left were for E and the ones on the right--575C, I believe--were for M... and I know this because I misbubbled in May and cancelled my score). In any case, I suggest you call Collegeboard and see if they can help.

I hope it works out for you!

My son's registration says Molecular for the June exam. He thinks you must have entered the incorrect code on the test day. When you originally register, you do not distinguish E/M - you bubble the code on the actual test. Maybe CB will switch the code for you? Call immediately.

The problem is they're closed!!! Ahh...do you think the hand-scoring service can take care of this?

A couple of notes:

A) I know I filled in Biology M on the FRONT page of the registration sheet (where they list all the Subject tests). In addition, I also wrote "Biology-M" in the blank box on the test sheet. I sincerely feel like this is a mistake on CB's part (I remember copying the bubbles from the right.)

B) The registration ticket changed at some point yesterday, probably meaning the test got processed at that time.

Why did I have to realize this on a weekend!!!!!!!

If you ordered the hand scoring service, they should notice, but call them just in case.

has anybody else had this problem?

bumpy bumpy

I actually filled in the bubbles from the left side by accident like some mindless drone. Then I erased it and bubbles in the right ones. On my registration ticket it says Biology-M. I would say you probably did the same thing, but never realized the mistake, but you seem to specifically recall bubbling the numbers from the right side of the page. So sorry, I don't know. Definitely call tomarrow though.

How does the hand-scoring service work for SAT II Subject tests?

When the scanner picks up 20 questions that are out of range for your selected form, your answer sheet will be looked at by a human. Don't worry

I highly doubt CB is that considerate. And, if I rmember from like 3 years ago. E was 1-80 while M was 1-60 and 100-119 or something like that. I would def call because if the scantron reads that its grading the E, it will stop at 80, and thus you will not get the potential 20 points for a perfect section. Def call on monday to see if anything can be arranged, but don't be surprised if they say "tough luck"

iwannabe_brown...

can the hand scoring service take care of this?

i don't see what the fuss is all about; call them like everyone is telling you to do!
