Omg!! They sent out admission decision letters!!!!

Just what I thought ArmoMom. I have my FT employment as a distraction, but it is not easy to open the mailbox, look at the letter, and wait.

I guess today is the day for me here in AZ. At least, I hope so. I don’t care so much about what the decision is, I just want to get it lol

^ thank you ArmoMom and anothermom3, it’s nice to have support and to understand the stressfull situation… !!! i will post the result around 4pm !! good luck to all of you!!!

Well, our son was rejected. He’s pretty disappointed, especially since his older sister is at Georgetown, but what can you do? He was admitted EA to Fordham, and is wait listed at William & Mary. Rejected at Northwestern as well.

Best of luck to all!

I would be right there with you, Moms! This is one of the rare times I’m glad I work full time… I don’t even know if our mail has arrived yet. It is nerve-wracking to have the envelope there and wonder…

And it’s not trying to take anything away from our kids, or live their lives for them… For me, it’s more that I am anxious to know!! If it’s no or waitlisted… how will she respond? How will she handle it? Will I be able to support her in the best way for HER? If she’s in… what will she think? How will she respond? Will the acceptance move this school closer to the top of the list?

It’s all just part of being a part of someone else’s life at an exciting, critical point in his/her life. It’s just love. :)

Okay- just so you all don’t feel bad…I ripped it out of the envelope before i even shut the mailbox. S2 is gone for the week though and wanted me to open it but I probably would have anyhow-he doesn’t care that much about stuff like that but his brother does so I wouldn’t open his without written permission!! Good Luck folks!!

NYDadandMom,

Same thing happened two years ago to my son. He is very happy at Boston College now. They all end up loving where they go in the end.

I just got in!!! It was a green full sheet of paper that was folded up for me.

I haven’t received my decision yet :frowning: … But I don’t live in the US

havent recieved anything either, uhhh not expecting anything positive anyways…i would LOVE to get the waitlist, at least.
And same, im international…does that lower our chances? Till i was in 12th grade i thought it looked sooo guud to be international, but seeing all my friends rejections, apparently not…

waitlist - yellow card

Based on descriptives… I am thinking son was rejected. There is nothing stiff about this very basic business sized envelope. No postcard type thing inside. But based on the hold within their science department, he had very much cooled towards the school since application time.

These exclamation points are killing me.

Our mailman typically doesn’t deliver until around 4 or 5 PM, so I’m pretty much going crazy right now.

accepted :-)

letter looks like a letter, green paper on the outside

green paper - accepted
yellow card - waitlisted

anyone in ma get one yet?
i’m unbelievably worried right now, looking out a window

Mass. here, robertwolfe (north of Boston). Just opened the letter.

Accepted. Was EA deferred, if that matters.

Best of luck to all still waiting to hear.

Rejected. I’m crying like a baby :(

i’m in ct and just got my acceptance!

is it just me or was the letter really boring and business-like?
well, whatever. i’m still happy.
