Hello I’m an international student coming to US for college. I’ll be in a single room in an apartment shared with 5 people ( I got placed on campus apartment for 2nd years because there weren’t room) Am I expected to socialise with them…? How are second year college housemate relationships like…? I’m pretty shy and introverted so I hope there isn’t too much pressure to build relationship/friendship…
and I’m worried they’ll hate me if I’m the only one not socialising with them…I also don’t feel good about hearing other people talk or laugh while I’m in my room because it makes me feel isolated. Like when I’m alone and quiet I don’t feel isolated at all but when I’m in a group and they’re all closer to one another than me then it bothers me. Can you tell me the general atmosphere, what is to be expected? thanks for reading
