on the right path?

i'm currently a sophomore at st george's school in newport (private boarding school in the independant school league) and am really interested in applying to trinity when im a senior. Could you guys tell me if im on the right track for possible acceptance?

*Grandfather and Mother graduated from trinity - mom does alot for school like volunteering for college fairs, giving money, etc.

spent freshman year at competitive public high school, As and Bs in regular classes, Varsity soccer and Varsity tennis
Transferred to St George's for sophomore year:

Joining newspaper next year, possible high position

Work over the summer at coffee shop in my town

Classes sophomore year and grades (1st semester)
English 2: B-
World History: B (even though its not the AP class, taking AP test in may, hopefully score a 3 or higher)
Geometry: B-
Biology: B-
French 2: B

*I know these grades are low, but it was only my first semester which was my first in a new school with a new workload etc. im not trying to make up an excuse, but my grades shuold be better this semester (right now As and solid Bs)

Probable Junior Year classes:

French 3 Honors
*I applied for a program my school offers called Geronimo where you live in a 70' boat for 6 weeks with 6 other students and 3 first mates, take all your courses and study marine biology - sailing from newport to the bahamas. Hopefully will be accepted and participate next fall
*Also applied for prefect position in freshman dorm, which is a leadership position - very hard to get as there are only 8 spots for about 60 applicants, but again hopefully I will get it

probable Senior Year classes:
Either AP English or two 1 semester english electives
AP Government
Pre Calc
Either AP Bio or AP French
1 semester of art course (either architecture or basic art), 1 semester religion - these are requirements I have to meet for graduation
