I’m on the waiting list for BU’s School of Management and want to do everything in my power to get myself on the acceptance list for the school. I’ve written a letter about what draws me to BU…but what do i do next?! I’m at a complete loss… I don’t know what to include in my next letter or say in my next phone call.

Also - Does BU have counselors with whom you can speak to concerning your application? (the counselor that reviews your app)

Thanks lostandfound - I may just do that. But I feel like they’re going to tell us the same thing they tell everywhere else, send in a personal statement that explains your interest in the school.
But I want to stand out! Haha I really don’t know what to do next…

that makes sense. however, because of the economy more people might have gotten better financial aid, so it might end up just balancing out or the scales tipping in favor of those waitlisted individuals.

Hmm… I feel as if there is a very slim chance that waitlisted individuals would receive financial aid because for all we know, they can take only 1 student off the waiting list - and if they saved a chunk of aid for us, what would they do with all the extra?
That probably didn’t make sense haha

From what I’ve gathered about the BU waiting list, from reading this site and listening to what my stepdad has told me from his conversations with BU, is that the yield from the BU waiting list is high. No one is accepting their spots this year simply because there is no money.

I’m surprised they called before the 1st, I didn’t think they would do that especially since they said that they would called before JUNE 15th. Ah well, it turned out well. Best of luck to the rest of you who are waiting
