<p>Very nice for him. But we are talking current conditions, which aren’t as rosy. Many students now in school were given full funding for first year and told subsequent years should not be a problem. As an example, State funding from California has disappeared for many programs. Much corporate funding as well. Also most Masters programs in most programs don’t fully fund, if at all.</p>
<p>The economy is definitely an issue for both public and private schools. I guess it’d be nice if some people share the funding offer that they received (in science/engineering field). This way, we can have a rough idea regarding the maximum and minimum offers. Shall we start a new thread or just continue on with this one?</p>
