Has got to be the Transportation Musical video. It’s so bizarre and random yet I LOVE it. “I’ve never thrown up, my parents are puppets”. Lol. I mean how did they come up with this stuff? It’s really a lovely quirky thing and it’s cool that its content was approved in the middle of a big school bureaucracy providing information to students.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing maya! My favorite bit? “Good luck on that first blue book exam”! LOL! I remember skipping over the M my first semester in college. Pretty cool that they used students to make the video too. No actors!
@Alexandre. “No actors” might be overstating it a bit. “Billy Magic” was a student but he was studying acting and shortly after this was made had starring role in the touring company of Book of Morman. Just goes to show you the strength of every UMich department!
Hehe! Well, I am sure they are all majoring in Dance, Drama or Music. Like you said, the strength of every UMich department!
Maya is correct - Billy Magic (not his real name) is now touring as lead in Book of Mormon, after performing the role on Broadway as understudy. The guy playing the freshman was one of my son’s roommates. Since this video was shown to all incoming freshmen, he was recognized everywhere on campus and people always asked, “Hey! Where’s Billy Magic?” He’s now in L.A. & hopefully doesn’t hear that anymore. The writer/director was a Directing student - now has his own Production company in AA called Snowday. Many of the singers/dancers in the background are performing professionally now. A couple on Broadway I believe. They did a great job!
