One Point Away From Grade - Should I Talk to The Professor?

I had a professor tell me the first day of lecture that if a student was active, in lecture, in lab/recitation, and clearly doing their all with the course and whatnot, she would gladly give them the higher grade should they be borderline. I got to know her and she’s a great prof and it proved to be true. I ended up with a B+ which doesn’t quite add up to the grades I actually got, and I’m assuming it was her personal policy of bumping up if the effort deserved it.

It could make a huge difference so do it

Unfortunately it doesn’t always work to be friendly with a professor because I went to a professor’s office hours fairly often and participated a lot and still got a 92.6 (an A-), which wasn’t rounded up to a 93 (an A). I wonder if I should email him about it?

You have nothing to lose if you as nicely and respectfully. If the professor agrees, great! If s/he doesn then too bad, but you are no worse off than you started…
