Hello all,

I am interested in applying to Harvard University's class of 2019, majoring in Computer Science.

I have a great internship prepared for this summer, as well as a rigorous schedule at school. During the past few years, I have taken many online courses (Stanford, Harvard, MIT, etc) on various CS topics, but these were self-taught from lectures and worksheets/assignments posted online.

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide any proof that I actually took these courses! Does this mean that I shouldn't include them in my application? I was originally planning to include these courses as ECs with a note explaining my situation. Is it possible to somehow incorporate my self-taught studies as part of my actual "courses" without providing a transcript or certificate of completion?

Should I call/email the Admissions Office to explain my situation? I truly believe that my passion for CS can be best articulated through my academic pursuits outside of the classroom.
