I have studied in India and finished higher secondary school (10+2) and 3 years towards bachelor’s degree but did not finish in final year so did not earn bachelor’s degree but now am in US citizen and want to finish my bachelors degree quikcly. I am getting older and after finishing bachelors degree I could get a better job and I would like to study further as legal intern to be a lawyer. I am in WA state.
I would like your suggestions which college/universities I should explore to get this degree.
Also,I need to transfer my credits from foreign university…which is the best transcript evaluation service. I have studied in medical science subjects. I have heard that WES and EEC are good but also read that it can be risky to send them original marksheets (which they want for my country)
Please advice for both these questions…

If you know where you want to study, ask that university which evaluations are acceptable. Then use one of those companies. If you do not know yet, I recommend WES. I do not know any college or university in the US that does not recognize its evaluations. If you don’t use WES, be sure to use one that requires an official copy of your transcript. The investment will be well worth it for you. Evaluations made by companies that do not require official copies will be accepted by very few universities here, and aren’t likely to be accepted by employers that ask for copies of your academic records such as government agencies.
WES will require that you ask your university in India to issue a new official copy of your transcript. That must be enclosed in an envelope sealed closed by the person responsible for transcripts at your university in such a way that when it arrives at the WES office it is clear that it has not been tampered with. The transcript needs to come directly from that office. You can take a pre-paid, pre-addressed shipping envelope for your favorite courier service (DHL, FedEx, etc.) to the university for the transcript office to use. If you do not trust the university to get that envelope to the courier company, you can take it there yourself.
We just went through this two years ago when Happydad suddenly needed his foreign university transcript evaluated. Happydad was able to request the transcript by email, and a good friend who lives near that university went to the office to get the transcript and took it to DHL.
