We'd like to know also, please!

It's available on the collegeboard's official SAT online course. It's an automated program, though, I'm not sure if it's very accurate or not. But it probably is, considering that they also use it for GMAT and other graduate exams too (I think).

how about the princeton review one?

is it accurate?

we've been discussing about this before . since the essay is being graded by a computer i can say it is not quite accurate. the online grading tool can just check some key words that are related to the assignment and others that have to do with connecting paragraphs . However, this " essay grading machine " knows nothing about the flow of ideas , the consistency of examples etc. so i would not rely much on it .

It is a mere word counter. To verify it yourself, just copy/paste a text from Wikipedia and score it. As long as you carefully trim it to not include fancy numbers and stuff, you "received a score of 6 from the equivalent of one reader indicating a potential score of 11 - 12."

By the way, the prompt was about valuing and sacrificing; I pasted some text related to HIV/AIDS.
