kind of expected, but i was hoping otherwise. oh, well…i got an acceptance 10 minutes ago :]</p>
<p>Wesleyan is going to have ~20% acceptance rate this year - there is simply no way they can accept evry qualified applicant. People who don’t get in shouldn’t think that they were not good enough. It’s just the sheer volume of applications… and they aren’t going to accept the top 2,000 students that applied, because they want to build a cohesive, well-rounded class. </p>
<p>I’m sure that all of the qualified applicants that didn’t get in will be the ones getting in somewhere else (and some accepted to Wes will be the ones “pushed out” elsewhere, so to speak).</p>
