Does Wesleyan post its decision online or send an e-mail on/around December 15? Or is it just through the mail?

Just mail. You can call after Dec. 16 or 17 or something too.

Did current Wes. students find out by mail on the 15th (or equivalent date), before or after the 15th?

I got my ED acceptance folder (it won't be a regular envelope, but a manila-folder-sized white package with a red folder inside) on December 15th exactly. good luck! 12 days to go!

Is it obvious whether you were admitted before you opened the package? Does it always come on the 15th, even if you live across the country?

it is obvious, i believe... you only get the 9" x 12" packaging if you were accepted, with a regular envelope for a defer/reject (don't quote me on it though, but i'm 99% sure)... and Wes mails them the morning of the 12th, so judge accordingly

do those accepted get it on the 15th by priority mail whereas those who were rejected/deferred get it later? or does everybody get it on the 15th?

oh man, i'm so nervous!

wes sends out all decisions on the 12th (today) by regular mail, so however long it takes for the mail to get to your house, that's when you'll find out. now that the decisions have left middletown, ct, it should take 2 or 3 days. I know some people that found out the 14th, and others (like myself) the 15th. shouldnt come later than that...

We are on the West Coast and given that it is holiday season, hope for snailmail delivery tomorrow. Has anyone received word? Can hardly wait...

Another west coaster who's waiting. For anybody who gets their notification, PLEASE post when you get it and where you live. I'm praying to god that I get it tomorrow, friday at the latest but something tells me that living on the west coast will make me not even get it until monday.

I am having a heck of a time getting on this board, i keep getting messages that the server is busy. this westcoaster is in the sf bay area. where are you?
also, admission told me that if you don't hear by 4pm east coast time on friday, you could call and they would give you results on the phone.

According to person at Wesleyan- 421 ED applicants and 189 were admitted,so approximately 45%. Our mail has arrived and no envelope.Anybody got mail??

My daughter just received her acceptance package from the mailman a few minutes ago. I am on Long Island, so it got here pretty quick.

Congratulations all!/good luck to those who haven't heard yet.
I live in NJ and I just got my acceptance. I am paralyzed with happiness.

lucky... last year (it's been a year ahhh!) i got my ED acceptance on the 15th! congrats to you guys, i'll see you here at wes in august (although you should come to wesfest in april)

Our son's acceptance arrived about an hour ago! He is thrilled.

That's nearly a 16% jump in ED applications (from 364 last year) if correct.:D

"That's nearly a 16% jump in ED applications (from 364 last year) if correct" -- and if the 364 figure itself is correct. It comes from the Argus, so . . . .

The 364 struck me as a little low. As best as one can calculate from the Wesleyan site (I do wish Wes would just post its CDS), there were appx. 652 total ED applications for Class of 2010, for the combined EDI and EDII rounds. (I also have a figure of 670, but don't know the source of that anymore.) I would have thought the number of EDIs would outpace EDIIs by something more than 364 - 286. But maybe not.

My son's accepatance arrived this morning- we live in the San Francisco Bay area. Needless to say, we are over the moon with joy.
