Unproctored exams should be limited to pass / fail grading in order to reduce the temptation to cheat & in order to reduce potential benefits received as a result of cheating.

Additionally, all students must sit for the exam at the same time in order to lessen the chance of exam questions being shared by cheaters. If different times for exam sittings is necessary–such as when needed to accommodate wide variances among different time zones–then different exam questions should be used for each time zone sitting.
