If you didn’t apply on line but mailed your app in will you be able to check on line when they post the ED acceptances or will you have to wait for a letter? Thanks

you will receive an email in the middle of november regardless of whether you applied by paper or internet. the email will contain a code which you will type into some website which will display your decision on december 15. basically, you find out online whether or not you applied online.

will decisions be posted at 12:01 am on the 15th? haha

checking online is going to be so scary. it's like checking your sat scores... one time my computer froze right before and i was going crazy.

Checking online IS scary. I had my heart in my throat while I had three computers refreshing the page until my acceptance came up. Hopefully the server won't crash!

does it say in big bold letters, "ACCEPTED" or "DENIED" and whatnot? Or is it a letter?

i think it says congratulations.
and DUDE - why would u use 3 computers!?!?! thanks for overloading the server all by urself!!!

and checking online is terrifying... i think my dads going to have to do that.

LOL!!! ... but don't let your dad check it; whether or not you receive good news on that day, it's YOUR life.

Fjm, I think last year it was 4pm (but it took a loooooong time to load)...

i cant check tho! ill be standing there with my hands over my face, too afraid to look through my fingers at the screen. so someones going to have to check. lol

You basically see the first couple of paragraphs of the acceptance letter when you check the website. I think that the word "congratulations" is in a larger font and bold, so you know right away.

awww....a letter in the mail would be so much easier to the heart...a small envelope usually meaning reject/defer, and a big one meaning accepted. At least I wont have to stare at the words in the face when I am rejected (or hopefully accepted). December 15 is not very far away....only 5 weeks

There was some other thread regarding the time at which they release the decisions... someone said last year was dec. 14 7:00pm. I think it is like college board.. that they say scores will be available until 8am... but I checked them at 430 am and they were already there.
