<p>I've been on collegeconfidential for a while now and have gleaned many tips for SAT study. My sister wanted to, and did, take a practice test she found of some obscure website on google. I told her that it is a flimsy test that would fail to emulate the collegeboard. Isn't this true?!</p>

<p>If it’s not an official College Board test, it’s not worth taking…but I’m sure you already know that if you’ve been around CC for a while 
Most of the free tests out there are going to be intentionally skewed to score low so they can sell you something! There is a free practice SAT you can download from the College Board website, so encourage her to do that instead. Feel free to PM me if you have more specific questions…I know dealing with parents can be rough sometimes.</p>
