<p>I am thinking of getting a graduate degree online in special education and wondered if that would effect my chances of getting a job after I graduate. The program is NCATE accredited but I'm still a little scared of not getting a job because it is not a brick and morter school. Any thoughts?</p>

<p>Volunteer with local school districts, Boys and Girls Club, Girl Scouts or Boy Scouts, work as a nanny, daycare teaching assistant or something similar. If you gain experience while earning your degree, then you will be a more competative applicant when you begin looking for a teaching job.</p>
