Okay, so I am a Junior. I tend to worry, and I was browsing threads and I saw countless, "I missed a deadline!" threads. I'm terrified, that this will be me next year. Does anyone have a good time chart for how to be ready? I'm planning on applying for 7 schools.

It’d be best if you have a college list by the time your senior year starts. Also good if you’ve already taken your standardized tests junior year. You should’ve also asked teachers for recs (end of junior year or beginning of senior year).

Besides that, there’s really not too much danger of missing a deadline. Once you get your list of schools list all the deadlines (soonest to latest) and organize the schools by deadline. Finish the sooner ones earlier. Honestly, if you spend 15 minutes a night on college apps starting at the beginning of senior year you’ll be done long before deadlines are due.

Figure out if you want to apply for some early admission, decide which schools you want to apply to, put all the critical dates in a spreadsheet and follow it.
