<p>NorCalDad...thank you! I knew I only had part of the story and tried to indicate that..it always pays to go direct to the school website or call the school admissions office rather than trust what the rest of us remember....</p>
<p>That's really mainly about CA residents. Any idea for oos applicants if AP Art History would qualify?</p>
<p>Try doing lots of art stuff outside of school. Take an art class at a museum, with a local artist, join a theatre group, something. Then explain to the college that you did that and spent more time in that than you would have doing an art class at school.</p>
<p>Not getting it totally...with the UCs there is no "explain to the college...". You are applying online and there is a specific application form. You HAVE to have something to put in the field that asks for your "art" class. These aren't small private schools that read explanations. They get like 30,000 applications at some of these UCs.</p>
<p>Look at the on line classes offered by UC, they may have something.</p>
