<p>Last year the message from UW said to apply early if you wanted engineering, that the school fills earlier. I hear you can apply later once you arrive and get some coursework done. But looking this year things seem a bit different to say the least, which is not a bad thing people need to change systems sometimes. Daughter got into engineering OOS but her statistics were pretty high.</p>
<p>Technically you only get into pre-engineering. You apply to engineering college majors as a soph. Some are harder to get into than others.</p>
