This is a community service club that I have started because I see a need for it in our school. Our only club that’s focused on community service is National Honor Society, which is very exclusive because a student needs to be a high-achieving upperclassman. Freshmen our required to get service hours, and I believe this club gives them an opportunity to fulfill the required service, and more, with friendly upperclassmen and fellow freshmen.

Bump please! I’ve heard it’s really hard to get in out of state…

I think you have a REALLY good chance of getting in. It is really difficult to get in out-of-state because of NC state laws (I just applied in-state and live near Chapel Hill- everyone I know is hoping for that acceptance letter!) but I certainly think you have a great shot.

Excellent ECs, have you taken any AP classes?
Overall, pretty good chance!

Apply and don’t let people dissuade you.
Good credentials
Could be you don’t get in first time but maybe wait list. Let them know you are interested! Don’t count on it but don’t avoid it either!

Thank you so much for the positive responses! Yes I have taken 6 AP courses and 2 CIS courses.
