Open House April 18-20th

@sutteyo - do you mean the one with the “P”? Maybe they add a “C” sometimes…They do a lot of painting to it for events and stuff lol

So the hike up most of the P hill is pretty easy and only takes about 15-20 minutes or so and the view is already pretty nice from here. If you want to go all the way up to the actual letter, the hike gets a bit more difficult, the path narrows and becomes steeper, slipperier, and there are more rocks. I think the last time I went all the way up there it took me about 30 minutes. The entrance to this trail can be found at the back of the parking lot behind the Red Brick dorms. I think the easiest way to find it is to start by going up the hill to the cerro vista apartments, so that the apartments are on your left. You’ll be walking past rows of cars parked on the hill on your right. When you see the last row of parked cars, turn right and start walking through the highest level of the parking lot. About midway through the lot, you’ll see an opening on your left, it might be slightly hidden, so just keep your eye out for it. This is the entrance to the trail. There will probably be a gate, but it’s easy to just go around/ over it. I think it’s there to keep cars out. Hopefully I didn’t confuse you with these directions. The view from the P is amazing, and great at night too! Also, sometimes you’ll see the horses up there, which is cool. Just watch out for any wild turkeys…

Awesome, thanks! My bad on the C, lol!

I am interested in the College of Environmental Design at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. For anyone that has attended before, does the Open House event give a good enough idea of the curriculum offered for the majors in that department? Does Cal Poly Pomona offer something similar to an “Open House” event at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo?

I just cancelled a room at the San Luis Obisbo Travelodge next to campus for Thurs/Fri with two double beds incase a fellow CCer needs it!
