I live very close to Boston and the school would be convenient for me to apply to. The problem is... one: it only offers a B.A. in computer science? This baffles me for it's a comprehensive university not a LAC but it is what it is. and two: it isn't ABET accredited. But it might not be accredited because it only offers a B.A., and I believe ABET only considers B.S. degrees in CS. Will this be problematic for me? I plan on getting a M.S. at another university afterwards... Will the fact that I have a B.A. bring me down? Or the lack of accreditation? Or both? Is ABET's stamp of approval important in CS i've noticed a lot of "big name" schools don't have them anyways. Has anyone here gone to BU and have opinions? Any advice would be appreciated!

ABET doesn’t matter.

B.A versus B.S doesn’t really matter to my knowledge.

ABET accreditation per se matters for CS only if you want to go into patent law.

But you want to check the course offerings for the degree program to see if it has the important ones. Non-ABET-accredited CS degree programs can be very good, or very poor, or anywhere in between. ABET accreditation just sets the lower end of the range at “ok”.
