I' a senior in high school planning on majoring in civil engineering in college. Currently I am enrolled in a course titled "AP Calculus AB/BC" however I'm very skeptical about how much BC stuff we will actually learn. We just went over the fundamental theorem of calculus last week and I'm not really sure how far along that really is. So I'm thinking I should just take the AB exam because I will have a better understanding of it. But let's say I do well on the AB test, well I wind up not using it and have to retake calc 1 in college because I'm an engineering major? because if so then I would rather take the BC exam so if i do well on the AB subscore i might be able to actually use that credit. What are your thoughts? What have engineers done with their AP credit.

Also I'm taking AP Physics B. I am confident I will be very prepared for this test, but again will I have to just take it again in college because I'm an engineering major? What have past engineering majors done?

I will most definitely take the AP Microeconomics test so I don't want to waste my time studying for other tests that will get me nowhere. Thanks for your thoughts!
