Hi everyone,

For those who are writing explanations about your favorite books, authors, plays, music, artists, etc. are you describing what each item is? So say I’m writing about a book. Would it be ok, in one sentence, to describe what the book is about? I’m worried about being condescending if I am describing something that the adcom may already know.

Either way works. Three most popular choices are a long list with no descriptions, a short list with short descriptions, or a list of one item with a very long description (though most wouldn’t call this a list).
