Optional essay: "Is there anything else you'd like us to know?"

This is for a diversity fly-in program application. The application requires a transcript, test scores, a brief list of ECs, and one short essay to go into more depth about one of the ECs. There is also an optional essay with the prompt, “Is there anything else you’d like us to know?” What, if anything, should I put here? Here are a few things I was thinking of:

  1. I didn't do well my first semester freshman year (1 B-, 1 B, and 1 B+) for a variety of reasons. First, I had a medical issue that I didn't realize I would need a testing accommodation for. Second, the school put together an advanced honors science track that had 1 full year of Physics and 1 full year of Chemistry compressed into 1 semester each. They've since done away with that program since it was just too much content in too short a time. (The B- was in Physics).
  2. I only took 1 year of a foreign language, but it was the highest level (AP Japanese) offered at my school. It's not necessarily a typical legacy language-type situation where I just spoke it growing up and aced the highest level class since I was natively fluent. I spent my weekends from kindergarten through 6th grade learning the language. (Though it is my mother's native language, so I did practice at home.) Instead of pursuing a completely different language, I decided to take more electives I otherwise wouldn't have been able to.
  3. I could also just use this space to write about another one of my ECs that shows a different side of me. The EC I wrote about is more academic and serious in nature. Another one I'd like to write about is much more geeky and fun.

Or of course I could just leave it blank.

What does everyone think?
