I know there is the NU symphony orchestra, but are there any clubs or classes for students who are interested in learning a new instrument or brushing up on an old one? I played cello for four years (4th-8th grade) and while i havent been taking lessons, I still pick it up occasionally. I'm interested in possibly continuing (for fun) in college, and I doubt my skills are comparable to that of the students in the orchestra at northeastern. Anyone have any info? I could always just play by myself, but I'd like to have a group! :)

PS this obviously isn't a make or break deal for me..it's just something I've been thinking about lately

There are lessons available that you can take for credit, if you are interested in improving your skills.
You might go out for orchestra, anyway, though. All of the NU Bands programs are very welcoming, and orchestra is a group open to a variety of skill levels. Northeastern does not have music performance majors, so all of the musical groups are made up of people who are just interested in playing their instruments and having fun. You might try contacting someone on the e-board for the group to see if you think it would be a good fit or if they have any other suggestions for groups:
